Double Grammy winner MARY YOUNGBLOOD (Seminole/Aleut), the passionate Occitan rivalists LO CÒR DE LA PLANA (France) and the infectious, impressionistic urban pastiche of MEXICAN INSTITUTE OF SOUND (Mexico) are the most recent acts to sign on as part of ¡Globalquerque! New Mexico's 4th Annual Celebration of World Music & Culture, which takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC)on September 19 & 20, 2008.
The three will join previously confirmed acts including LILA DOWNS (Mexico), KANDA BONGO MAN (Democratic Republic of Congo), HAPA (Hawai'i), VIEUX FARKA TOURE (Mali), SAVINA YANNATOU (Greece), MOR KARBASI (Israel), 17 HIPPIES (Germany), GENTICORUM (Quebec) and ORCHID ENSEMBLE (China/Canada) performing on 3 stages of 2 days.
